A practical care routine for the BABYGO® Strawberries & Cream Zip Sleepsuit, covering the two-way zip, fold-over hands and feet, and bamboo fabric.

Start with the zip, not the wash cycle

Before you wash the Strawberries & Cream Zip Sleepsuit, close the QikZip™ two-way zipper completely. This keeps the zip from catching on other items and protects the fabric around it. The same zip that makes nappy changes easier also needs a quick check before laundry: run the slider up and down once to make sure it moves freely, then zip it shut.

Turn the sleepsuit inside out. This simple step helps protect the printed outer surface and keeps the bamboo fibres from rubbing against tougher fabrics in the drum.

What the sleepsuit is made for

  • BABYGO® Strawberries & Cream Zip Sleepsuit: Made from natural bamboo fibres, the zip babygrow is soft and breathable for delicate skin. Bamboo is the reason this sleepsuit feels gentle, so your wash routine should protect that softness rather than strip it.

  • BABYGO® Strawberries & Cream Zip Sleepsuit: Bamboo is described as hypoallergenic and naturally thermo-regulating, keeping your little one warm in winter and cool in summer. These properties are part of the fabric's appeal, and gentle washing helps maintain them over time.

A simple wash routine for the printed sleepsuit

  1. 1. Close the zip and turn inside out: Zip the two-way zipper fully shut and turn the sleepsuit inside out to protect the print and the zip.
  2. 2. Wash with similar colours: The Strawberries & Cream print is a light background, so wash it with other light or similar colours to avoid colour transfer.
  3. 3. Choose a gentle cycle: Use a mild detergent and a gentle machine wash. Avoid harsh biological powders or fabric softeners that can coat bamboo fibres.
  4. 4. Skip the tumble dryer: Air-dry flat or hang the sleepsuit to dry. High heat can shrink or stiffen bamboo fabric, so let it dry naturally.

Keep the fold-over hands and feet working

The Strawberries & Cream sleepsuit has fold-over hands and fold-over feet. Before washing, unfold them so detergent and water reach the fabric inside the cuffs. After washing, check that no lint or detergent residue is trapped in the folds. Once dry, fold them back into place so they are ready for the next wear.

The fold-over feet let you cover toes for warmth or open them for playtime. If you notice the cuffs losing their shape, a gentle reshape while damp will help them sit flat again.

Sizes and fit to check before you wash

  • BABYGO® Strawberries & Cream Zip Sleepsuit: Available sizes: 0-3m, 3-6m, 6-9m, 9-12m, and 12-18m. Knowing the size range helps you decide whether to wash and keep the sleepsuit for later or pass it on.
  • BABYGO® Strawberries & Cream Zip Sleepsuit: The sleepsuit is designed to cover them up for warmth or let them out to explore up to 12 months. This gives you a clear age guide for when the sleepsuit is likely to be in active use, so you can plan your wash frequency.

What to do when the print looks dull

Printed baby grows can lose brightness over time, especially if washed at high temperatures or dried in direct sun. To keep the Strawberries & Cream pattern looking its best, wash at a low temperature and dry away from strong sunlight. If the print feels stiff after drying, a short gentle wash without detergent can help soften it, but always check the care label first.

Storing the sleepsuit between wears

Once dry, fold the sleepsuit flat and store it away from damp. Avoid hanging it by the zip, as this can stretch the fabric around the zipper. Keep the fold-over hands and feet unfolded in storage so they don't crease permanently.
